Touno is a rural village located within the central area of Kyushu; Japan's southern island.

DescriptionEdit

This small village is surrounded by hills and mountains, with a large lake nearby.[1] Being in the countryside, the inhabitans seem to focus on taking care of the land. According to Yukihime, they can also grow watermelons there.[2] There is also the grave of Touta's family, located on a hill overlooking the town. The plaque is flanked by the graves of Touta's relatives.[3]

Touta Konoe and Yukihime resided in the village, staying in the middle school, until they were forced to leave after being attacked by a Bounty Hunter.[4]

Notable LocationsEdit

Location DesignEdit

The scene where Yukihime and Touta are leaving Touno is based off of a photo Ken Akamatsu took of a road on Kohama island near Okinawa in 2006.

TriviaEdit

  • A figurine of Chachazero can be seen on the windowsill in the Touno Middle School's teachers' office.
  • A plush toy resembling Chachamaru can be seen sitting atop a bookshelf in the Touno Middle School's Night Duty Room where Yukihime and Touta lived.
  • The school emblem on the Touno Middle School flag bares a slight resemblance to the school crest of the Mahora Academy.
